Mission trips, pilgrimages, and retreats are an important part of our community life. We offer scholarships to make traveling with the Student Center possible for all students.

Winter Break Immersion Trip
In order to see more clearly that which surrounds us on a daily basis, we occasionally need a change of scenery! In January 2016, we traveled to Washington DC to engage issues of homelessness. The focus of our trip was spending intentional time learning about the complicating causes of homelessness, the stories of our homeless neighbors, and what our faith has to say about all of this.
The reason we take Immersion trips is to spark our curiosity about what we are able to do in our own community. Our entire year of service-learning at the Student Center will be dedicated to the topic of homelessness.
On our trip, we spent time working and learning at Charlie's Place and the Church of the Epiphany. We also visited many of the sights in our Nation's Capitol and attended a service of Evensong at the Washington National Cathedral.
Pilgrimage to Canterbury
In Spring 2015 the UT Episcopal Student Center and the A&M Canterbury took a Pilgrimage to Canterbury, England. This pilgrimage was more than just a sightseeing venture, it was a way for us to become more deeply connected to our Episcopal identity. We visited London, Oxford, Coventry, and Canterbury. The slideshow is a few of our pictures from this transformative experience. We hope to take another pilgrimage again soon!
