In 1899, Bishop George Kinsolving started a chaplaincy for the women’s dormitories on the boundary of the Forty Acres. We’ve been here ever since.
Today, we’re a group of regular people helping each other remember that God made each of us just as we are and is waiting to be found in all the ordinary stuff of our lives.
Every week during the school year we gather to pray, share meals, and have fun with each other. We’d love for you to find a place with us, especially if you think the church doesn’t have a place for you.
We are located on the north edge of the UT Austin campus at 27th Street and University Avenue, across from the Scottish Rite Dormitory.

An affirming community
We’re proud to be an affirming and safe space for LGBTQ+ people—God made you just the way you are and we want to help you celebrate that. We welcome LGBTQ+ people into full participation in our life together, including leadership positions.
To make room in our community for everyone, in our worship we use inclusive language for humanity and try to use a variety of words and imagery for God alongside more traditional language. We have a gender-neutral restroom in our space.
Everyone is welcome to join us, no matter who you are or where you are on your spiritual journey. Really.
